Jeweller Pricing Policy
1. Price Composition
- Each jewellery piece is priced based on:
- The current market rate of the base metal (gold, platinum, or silver) per gram and purity level (e.g., 22KT, 18KT)[3][6].
- Net metal weight used in the piece[5][4].
- Value of diamonds, gemstones, or other embellishments—certified and itemized separately.
- Making charges, calculated either as a flat fee per gram or as a percentage of total metal value, depending on the design complexity and craftsmanship[2][6].
2. Metal Price and Purity
- All metal prices are linked to daily published spot rates and adjusted for purity:
- 24KT, 22KT, 18KT, and other purities have separate rates; only BIS hallmarked gold is used.
- Metal weight and purity are clearly itemized in the product listing and on the invoice[5].
- Hallmarking and testing fees are included transparently in the final price.
3. Making Charges
- Making charges reflect labor, artistry, and finishing methods.
- Expressed as either a percentage of metal value (typically 8–25% for gold and platinum jewellery) or as a fixed rate per gram, based on design[2][7][3][6].
- Intricate or custom designs may have higher making charges to reflect time and skill.
4. Pricing of Discounted Items
- Products sold at discounted rates will have the discount amount and/or rate displayed clearly[8][9].
- In the event of return or buyback, the invoice value after deducting any availed discounts or promotional benefits will be considered for refunds or repayments[9].
- Discount offers may not apply to all categories (for instance, gold coins, loose diamonds); exclusions will be stated in offer terms[8].
5. Billing and Invoice Transparency
- Each jewellery purchase will be accompanied by a transparent, itemized invoice that details:
- Metal type, weight, and purity
- Metal price at transaction time
- Gemstone or diamond specifics and charges
- Making charges
- GST and any applicable taxes
- Discounts or promotional offers availed[5][4]
- All pricing practices are aligned between store and website for consistency and fairness[1].
6. Other Applicable Charges
- Custom sizing, engraving, or special requests may attract additional charges that will be quoted and disclosed before order confirmation.
- Repairs, maintenance, and insurance (if offered) are billed separately.
7. Price Updates
- Jewellery prices are subject to change based on fluctuations in metal and gemstone markets.
- Orders will be billed at the posted price at transaction time.
8. Fair Pricing Commitment
- Products are never marked up unjustifiably for design or branding.
- All price components are disclosed for full transparency, establishing trust and confidence in your purchase[1][3][5].
